COMMUNITY DRIVEN

HER story

Built for Love, HEALTH & WELLNESS

More than two years ago, Suzi began a deeply personal journey toward better health. She was constantly feeling ill, weak, and in pain, and everyday activities were becoming increasingly difficult. As she watched people her own age lose their lives far too soon, she found herself asking a powerful question: There has to be a better way.

That question led Suzi down a long path of research and discovery. She began examining what was truly in the food she consumed and how those ingredients might be affecting her body. She looked beyond labels and commonly accepted ideas of “healthy,” learning more about processed foods, added sugars, refined salts, artificial dyes, chemicals, and hidden ingredients found throughout the American diet.

Her approach became beautifully simple: eliminate seed oils and heavily processed foods, focus on whole ingredients, and choose organic options whenever possible. Over the past year, Suzi has experienced remarkable personal improvements in her skin, strength, inflammation, and overall quality of life. The pain that once controlled her days no longer defines them, and she can now enjoy activities that once felt out of reach. For Suzi, the change didn’t come from a new medication—it began with changing what she put on her plate.

What started as a search for answers soon became a calling. Suzi wanted to share what she had learned with others who might feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure where to begin. She brought her experience, research, and resources together to create Hook N Cleaver—a North Scottsdale neighborhood market built around whole ingredients, seed-oil-free foods, education, and community. Her vision is simple: make better food easier to find and help others feel empowered to make choices that support their own health and well-being.
